Here we go again. My Feature Articles are coming back
A brief update on returning to writing for the web about Destiny, fate and the forces shaping human life, with the same affectionate scepticism as always.
DESTINOSOPHY

I have been rather quiet on most creative fronts these last couple of years. After publishing The Destiny Book in 2024 and finishing the first draft of my next book in 2025, I had to adjust my schedule and take a break from normality yet again, due to the prolonged end-of-life situation and various other challenges in the family.
As one of the best British sayings goes: you just get on with it.
And so I am, whenever there is time. Stress or no, over the last months I have slowly returned to writing, producing a few new pieces and working on updated edits of selected archived articles affected by a technical issue in 2025. New Destinosophy Features might be philosophical, long-form, essay-style. Others are going to be lighter, depending on the topic. All firmly within my niche: everything about Destiny, fate, luck and then some.
Descriptive, only rarely prescriptive.
While my next book and its future way of publication stays high on my work agenda, I continue observing phenomenal forces and their effects on the human species with affectionate scepticism. That won't change. And yes, despite numerous requests, I am still writing in my second yet favourite language, English, though that may change, developments pending.
Is the timing right? A sizeable portion of the internet says the internet is dying, and the data seems to back that up. News publishers have already lost half their Google Search referrals in two years, with AI-generated summaries answering queries before readers ever reach the source.
Let’s see about that, shall we?
Amazon, the world’s largest and already oversaturated book seller, is filling rapidly with AI-generated titles, with estimates running to tens of thousands of new uploads per month, likely pushing too many authentic authors and smaller publishers further down in visibility across both search and the even the book platforms. Not an easy era for writers, artists, musicians or anyone creating something real. But no one ever promised easy.
Hence, still here. Asking questions. Doing the work.
Destiny, fate, fortune and choice are important, eternal themes, the driving force behind mythologies, faith systems, personal and political agendas, power strategies, and the perennial human hopes around love, wealth and glory. Destiny is the first metaphysical force of order, and originally, it was non-religious, residing above and beyond any deity.
There is an important thread flowing through my book: the ancient concepts of Destiny are arguably the ultimate yet undogmatic source of all the faiths we know. And what is dogma? Another man-made extension.
In our world of advancing science, accelerating technology and fractured ideologies, why do we cling to concepts and personifications of total pre-knowledge, pre-determination and supernatural power, when the universe remains so obviously ambivalent, so absent of human interpretations and expectations of cosmic morality?
Maybe our reality is just one more concept we are chasing in an attempt to calm our constantly spinning mind. Maybe that's is why the unseen so often feels more real than much of what we perceive as factual knowledge.
Maybe. Just maybe.
